How to apply to marvel college au
So you've had a read of our website and looked at our @College_AU page and decided you're interested in joining the group! Fantastic news, we'd love to have you! To get started, this is what you'll need to do. Don't be daunted by the amount of steps, it really is a simple process and well worth the set up.
1. Follow the @College_AU twitter account with your current account.
This can be your OOC or writer account, or a current RP account - or even several accounts! This, as you may have noticed, is the Moderator account where we post notices and announcements that all writers need to be aware of. This can be group updates, new characters or changes to the group.
2. Send the moderators a tweet or a DM to check that the character you're interested in is available.
The interactions and DMs are checked several times daily and we try to get back to your messages as quickly as possible. As stated in the rules, we only accept one of each character to avoid any confusion, so we do prefer that you check with us before setting up that the character is free to avoid any disappointment or wasted time. You can also check here: https://twitter.com/College_AU/college-au-list/members which is always immediately updated.
3. Set up your new account!
Make the brand new twitter account for your character. At this time we ask that you do not add the #CollegeAU tag to your bio. This comes later when we have accepted the account.
4. Set up a full biography for your character.
We prefer to see this in Twitlonger (www.twitlonger.com) though you can use an alternative if you prefer. In this bio you tell us everything that makes the character AU - for example, a mutant character in the Marvel universe doesn't necessarily have to have their powers in this group. Tony Stark does not have his Iron Man suit, but is an engineering genius. You can also tell details of birthdays, origins, family, personality - as much information as you're willing to give, but we do ask you put some detail into it as Moderators make their acceptance decisions based on these biographies.
5. Tweet the link to the full bio to the Moderators at @College_AU
We will read over the bio and if everything is in order, we will tweet you and let you know that you have been accepted to the group. We'll also let you know at this time to put the #CollegeAU tag in your small profile bio, which lets other followers know that your character is exclusive to the #CollegeAU group.
6. Follow everyone from the group list, and start having fun!
The group list can be found on the @College_AU profile or here: https://twitter.com/College_AU/college-au-list/members
As soon as you've done this, you can start playing and interacting with our members!
If you have any questions about this, please do DM us and we'll get back to you.
